Allegra Egizi, MS, RDN, LDN (She/her)
I am passionate about helping my clients establish peaceful relationships with food, movement, and body in a gentle and realistic way. I help my clients with a variety of challenges, such as reframing disordered thoughts, fueling properly for an athletic event, improving body image, managing certain health conditions, or simply learning more about balanced eating. I utilize a combination of psychotherapy techniques and I take a holistic, non-diet approach to my work. My personable, relatable, and professional counseling style helps me connect with my clients in a genuine and effective way, ultimately allowing them to succeed in our work together.
My interest in nutrition began with my desire to improve my performance as a tri-sport athlete. While I experienced the positive impact that a healthy diet could have on my athletic performance, I also experienced the consequences that could result from a diet that was βtoo healthy.β This inspired me to establish a more sustainable balance between (all) foods and movement, and eventually, to pursue my degrees in nutrition through Simmons University. While I remain passionate about helping athletes, I also love working with adolescent and adult populations, helping them heal their relationships with food and rediscover joy in eating.
Over the past several years, I have worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the Army National Guard, North Shore YMCAs, led workshops, and worked with numerous sports teams throughout Boston. I am also a NASM-Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and a former board member through the Massachusetts Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (MAND).
Outside of work, I love being outside, exploring Boston, and drinking cold brew!
